Getting to Crail

If you have booked a seat on the wedding bus, the bus will leave from Dundee Train Station at the following times:
Day guests - 12pm
Evening guests - 6pm
The bus will return to Dundee at the end of the night, leaving at 11:30pm. Any Questions left us know!

By Car:
The journey takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic.
By Public Transport:
Board a bus from Dundee to St Andrews. Services are available from various operators.
Once in St Andrews, you can catch a local bus to Crail. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes.
Transport be available to and from Dundee on the day of the wedding - please let us know in the RSVP if you’d like to book a seat!

By Car:
Head out of Edinburgh on the A90 towards the north and cross the Forth Road Bridge.
Continue on the M90 to the A92, then take the A91 towards St Andrews.
Follow the signs to Crail from the A91.
This route typically takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
By Public Transport:
Take a train from Edinburgh Waverley to either Leuchars or Leven, with onward travel to Crail by bus, taxi, or lifts!
The X60A bus runs regularly from Edinburgh bus station to Anstruther, which is only a 10 min drive away.

Crail
Crail & Anstruther (9 minutes drive) have plenty of local hotels, including Shoregate, the Golf Hotel and The Waterfront. More options here.
There are many self catered options to be found on Airbnb, including caravans and lodges at Sauchope Links Holiday park. -
St Andrews
St Andrews is an 18 minute drive from Crail and a great option if you’d like to continue your stay in the area (we can help with taxi numbers ahead of time!).
There are plenty of options available via Booking.com and Airbnb. -
Dundee
If you are getting the party bus back to Dundee at the end of the night, you are spoilt for choice for accommodation options!
If you are looking for somewhere central, check out Sleeperz, the Apex, Hotel Indigo or the Malmaison.

Our wedding will take place on Saturday 7th June at 1pm.
The evening celebration will start at 7pm. -
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the ceremony begins to ensure we can start on time. So 1:45pm at the latest.

The wedding bus will leave from Dundee city centre to Crail Community Hall and back again at the end of the day. if you request a place on the bus, we will be in touch with more details on location and timings closer to the time.

Your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for. However, if you wish to honour us with a gift, we are accepting contributions to our home renovation and honeymoon funds here

Parking is limited at the hall - there is a small car park located to the right of the building which we would like to reserve for those who need it most. Many of Crail's streets provide free on-street parking within a 5 minute walk to the venue. We recommend arriving a bit early to find suitable parking. Please be mindful of local residents and avoid blocking driveways or access points.

The bar accepts card, but we recommend bringing cash just incase as its a mobile bar and we can’t guarantee the card machines will work 100% of the time.
